you got it
skill you capture replaces signet, you can only use it once.
you dont have to take the skill if you dont want.

by the way.. some of the wraith bosses disappear when you kill them. No body.. well no need to worry you can still capture it. just cast it where the boss fell and you can see what he had to grab. Took me weeks to figure that out on my own. lol

Also if you want to capute a skill from an end mission boss... guess what you still can if you start casting it Imediatly as he dies and the cutscene happens and you go to next area, and the capture screen is still there... Thats also a nice trick the one I can think of off hand (I know there are more) is Confessor Dorian in thunderhead keep mission.

can only use each signet once then you have to buy a new one.elite skills have a gold border round the icon if i`m not mistaken.

Also you can only ever have one Elite skill on your skillbar, unless you already have an Elite skill equiped then capture two more (you can carry more than one cap signet), abracadabra three elites for the rest of mission.

yep. that's what some do. A good area for this is in snake dance. Lots of bosses and lots of opportunity for capturing skills. Elites and otherwise...

So yea the SoC is just like buying a skill from the trainer. You just use it to get the skill of your choosing to replace its spot. you can carry 8 But that would be really silly... And yes SoCs are useful for capturing other hard to find skills too. if you have not found them at the trainers yet...

Quick Summary:

Capture Signet Costs some gold and 1 skill point
You can only use each signet once, after a successful capture, you must buy a new one
You may only have one elite in your skill bar at a time
You can only capture your skill when the boss is dead, simply stand over the body and cast your signet.
If your boss is a shadow, or phantom, just go to where he died and cast your signet. The "body" is still there even though it vanishes.
You can carry multiple capture signets, but you can only keep one elite on your skill bar. If you capture multiple elites, They will stay on your bar untill you enter a town or hub, then they will go to your skills list.

Also, remember you can capture skills for both your primary and secondary professions.

If you are a PvE player in an arena or other PvP setting, can you capture skills from a fallen player?

yes, there is the option to cancel after you have cast the signet. you keep the signet, and can use it again on a different boss. you dont lose the signet untill you actually accept a skill and it replaces the signet on your bar.

a specific note on the cost of the SoC: it costs half what it would cost for an actual skill. So, if you could get a skill for 100g and a skill point from the trainer, then the same trainer would charge you 50g and a skill point for the SoC

No- Signets of Capture only work on dead bosses in PvE.
